Christian Resource Links
Here are some helpful links to other Christian websites. Of course, I cannot vouch for the content contained in websites other than my own, but I think the sites here are, by and large, very sound doctrinally. In the Churches in Nashville section, I have obviously not listed every good, sound, biblical church in Nashville. These are churches which I know are sound and vouch for without reservation.

Christian Growth
  • Online Bible
This site offers the Bible in multiple versions online.
  • monergism
This is an incredible online resource for the serious reader. You could literally spend a month and still not read half of what this site has to offer. Just follow the links on this website and don't even look at mine any more! Highly recommended.
  • Way of the Master
Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron's ministry helped me learn to evangelize by using the law of God. They are right; this form of evangelism has strong biblical precedent. They have a much better website than mine, and I encourage you to take their test "Are You a Good Person?" It is MUCH better than mine, goes through all Ten Commandments, and has accompanying audio!
  • Living Waters
This mode of presenting the gospel by "testing" oneself by the law of God was introduced to me by my friend Chad. Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron and their "Way of the Master" series is a very good way to present the gospel in a door-to-door or mall-type setting. It has helped me to learn to share the gospel in a biblical way. I am deeply indebted to them.
  • Grace to You
This is the "resources" section of Grace to You. I am so grateful for the ministry of John MacArthur. He has had a profound impact in my life for God's glory through his preaching. Here you will find a vast array of articles on various Christian topics.
  • Desiring God (John Piper)
John Piper's sermon notes and audio sermons are a great devotional resource and also serve as an excellent commentary when preparing to teach on a passage. I highly recommend downloading i-Tunes from the apple.com website and getting his weekly sermon podcasts. These sermons have been such a blessing to me. Please do yourself this favor.
  • Christian Classics Ethereal Library
This site contains, as the name would suggest, online versions of some of the greatest works of Christian writers through the ages. Again, I don't vouch for everything on it, but there is so much truth here. Enjoy!
  • Founders Ministries
The "founders" referred to here are those of the Baptist Church. You may not be aware of where Baptists began, but the foundation is strong. Here is their site description: "A ministry of teaching and encouragement promoting both doctrine and devotion expressed in the Doctrines of Grace and their experiential application to the local church."
  • Al Mohler
Al Mohler is the president of Southern Seminary. He has an amazing ability to bring Scripture to bear on our modern (post-modern) culture. Good stuff.

Church History
  • Theology from a Bunch of Dead Guys
For the lover of church history, you will find some great reading on this site.
  • Charles Haddon Spurgeon
Phil Johnson has done a great service to the church by organizing this information and disseminating it online. This is a great resource for anyone, especially Spurgeophiles.

To Buy
  • Grace Books
The online bookstore for Grace Community Church.
  • Logos Bible Software
I use Logos Bible Software for sermon preparation and LOVE it. It makes the process of exegeting the text so much easier. Great for the Greek-challenged Bible teacher who wants to "rightly divide" the Scripture. Worth far more than you pay!

Finding a Church
  • 9Marks Ministries
Mark Dever is a wonderful pastor in Washington D.C. This website is a tremendous resource for general reading, for pastors, and the Church Search button will help you find a sound church in your area. What a great tool!

Churches in Nashville
  • My Church, Theta Baptist Church
This is my home church's website. If you live anywhere near Columbia, Thompson's Station, Spring Hill, Leiper's Fork, Franklin, Santa Fe, or Theta, then you need to come here! Read the doctrinal statement to learn more.
  • Community Bible Church
This is a great church in the Brentwood area. Even if you have to drive an hour to go there, do it. Byron Yawn is a dear pastor and is firmly committed to expository preaching.
  • Grace Community Church
Grace Community Church is much like my home church. This is a sound church with excellent Bible teaching. If you live near Brentwood and don't already go to Community Bible, you need to go here!

Other Great Ministries
  • Lighting the Way
Dwayna Litz is a dear sister in Christ and has an amazing evangelistic and apologetic ministry in some of the spiritually darkest placest in the U.S.
  • His Outfitters
His Outfitters is a ministry to share the gospel with children through outdoor activities, such as hunting and fishing.
  • Diospi Suyana
This is a mission hospital in the Peruvian Andes whose mission is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and provide medical care to the neglected Quecua people of Peru. Two of my dearest friends are serving there as physicians!
  • Compassion International
Compassion International is a ministry to children in poverty around the world. This is a Christian organization dedicated to meeting physical and spiritual needs of people. I made a surprise visit last time I was in Ecuador to the headquarters in Quito. It is a solid organization!
  • Harvest USA
This is a website that, "Exists to partner with and equip the Church in bringing the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to transform the lives of those affected by sexual sin." It contains very helpful articles for sharing the gospel to those involved in homosexuality, for example.

For Pastors
  • Shepherds' Fellowship
"The Shepherds' Fellowship is an association of churches rallying around the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, the importance of expository preaching, and the centrality of a biblical philosophy of ministry. The fellowship serves as both a resource and an encouragement for pastors and Christian leaders around the globe."
  • Logos Bible Software
See the blurb on this above. This will help you tremendously as a pastor.

Christianity and the Arts
  • Southern Orthodoxy
A friend, Ben Williams, from Jackson, TN has a blog for interesting articles. My friend, Julian Williamson, wrote an amazing reflection on his recent trip to Shiloh.
  • Wisdom of the Pages
This is Scott Lamb's website for "Talking about ideas by talking about books." Scott is one of my best buddies from college. Not only does it provide book reviews, he also discusses art from the eyes of a man devoted to Christ.
  • Graphic design
My brother Brett does graphic design and is really good! Check out some of his projects online.
